Dear Parents,
We are delighted to inform you that North-Ex Public School will be introducing Organic Intelligence (O.I.) activities from the academic session 2026–2027. This initiative is specially designed to enhance your child’s overall development by focusing on essential skills that go beyond textbooks.
What is Organic Intelligence (O.I.)?
Organic Intelligence is a holistic learning approach that helps children develop:
- Thinking (Problem-Solving & Decision Making) – Encouraging children to reflect, reason, and think critically.
- Analytical (Logical & Reasoning Skills) – Helping children compare, classify, and make sense of information.
- Spoken (Communication Skills) – Improving confidence, clarity, and expression in speech.
- Listening (Attention & Comprehension) – Developing the ability to focus, understand, and respond effectively.
- Observing (Attention to Detail & Awareness) – Enhancing curiosity and the ability to notice and analyze surroundings.
- Writing (Expression & Creativity) – Strengthening written communication and organizing thoughts clearly.
Why O.I. is Important:
- Encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
- Helps children express themselves confidently through speech and writing.
- Builds social and emotional skills by understanding responsibility, empathy, and cooperation.
- Makes learning interactive, fun, and meaningful through activities, stories, discussions, and games.
How it Will Be Implemented:
- Classes Pre-School to 2nd: All six O.I.s are included, with SPOKEN and WRITING activities being compulsory, and other areas rotated weekly.
- Classes 3rd – 5th: Four O.I.s per week, including SPOKEN and WRITING, with THINKING, ANALYTICAL, OBSERVING, and LISTENING rotated.
- Classes 6th – 8th: Two O.I.s per week (SPOKEN and WRITING), plus optional rotation of other O.I.s depending on focus.
- Activities are structured, age-appropriate, and detailed, with examples, prompts, and story references, so children can actively participate and teachers can implement them easily.
Parental Involvement:
- We encourage parents to observe and support their child while completing these activities at home.
- Sample O.I. development tasks for April are attached for your understanding, showing the type of activities your child will be doing.
- Your encouragement and engagement will enhance the impact of these activities and help your child gain confidence, curiosity, and creativity.
We are confident that Organic Intelligence activities will make learning more engaging, practical, and enjoyable, while equipping children with skills that are essential for life.
